BIOGRAPHY

Davey's racing career almost ended on June 9, 2001 following a devastating crash at the Texas Motor Speedway. After 21 operations and two years of rehabilitation in which he nearly lost his legs, Davey returned to Indy Car racing at the 91st running of the Indianapolis 500 in May 2007 and finished 9th.

Davey's strong faith and determination to once again race in the 500 were instrumental in securing a partnership with Kingdom Racing. Together, Davey and Kingdom Racing have run consecutive Indy 500 mile races in 2008 and 2009. Davey will again return to the cockpit for Kingdom Racing in 2010.

In February 2009 Davey and Kingdom Racing formed an Indy Lights Racing Team with Brandon Wagner as their driver. The Indy Lights Team competed in 7 races in 2009 and plans to run the entire 2010 Indy Lights schedule.

Since 2003 Davey has also been the preferred driver of the Indy Racing Experience, a two-seater style Indy Car in which fans can take rides in at various tracks throughout the United States. “I have really enjoyed the two-seater and every time I get in the car I think about how good it feels and how comfortable I am behind the wheel." Davey attributes a large part of his comeback to his participation with the Indy Racing Experience. Davey continues to drive for this program.

Davey also provides driver analysis for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network for all Indy Car Series Races. During the 2007 and 2008 Indy 500 mile races Davey provided a unique in car analysis of the race from the cockpit of his race car.
