Kingdom Racing has been involved in a number of service projects with the intention of sharing a message of hope and encouragement
through the attention gained by its race platform.

The Gathering of Men, Houston

February 25, 2009

Kingdom Racing hosted a breakfast for the Gathering of Men Ministry in Houston, Texas. Prominent author Pat Morley and Kingdom Racing’s Davey Hamilton were the keynote speakers at this event. Morley’s inspirational message was titled “Surviving the Economic Meltdown” and Hamilton shared his life-changing testimony. Morley gave away copies of his book and together with Davey, signed autographs and pictures. The turnout was more than 700 men and women.

IRL Ministry, Indianapolis

March, 2009

Kingdom Racing contributed 600 “The Man in the Mirror” books by author Pat Morley for Crew Care Packs destined for all IRL team members. These packs contained Bibles, devotionals, IRL Ministry tool box decals, etc. The packs were distributed to teams by the IRL Ministry’s David Storvick and the Indian Creek Christian Church.

First United Methodist Church, St Pete, Florida.

March, 2009

The Kingdom Racing team visited the Church just prior to the St Pete race. The program for the Young Adult Ministry included a tour of the team transporter, a roll-out of the Indy Lights No 32 race car and a talk about the challenges of racing. Testimonies and encouragement were given to the youth group, which is led by Travis F. James. An expanded program will be developed for 2010. Bibles were also given away to several visitors.

School on Wheels, Indianapolis

May 13, 2009

Kingdom Racing’s Indy Lights drivers Brandon Wagner and Logan Gomez visited two homeless kid shelters which provide the children with the opportunity for educational support and free tutoring. “The School on Wheels is Indianapolis’ answer to increasing educational opportunities for school-aged homeless children in order to create economic opportunities necessary to break the cycle of homelessness,” said Janet Youngblood Hiatt, Vice President of Development. Wagner said it was a rewarding experience to see the kids eyes light up when they walked into the rooms. Wagner and Gomez posed for pictures with the kids, signed autographs and spoke with kids ranging from first grade to high school.

Indianapolis 500 Race Fan Outreach

May 23-24, 2009

A group of 12 men from Houston’s church, the Fellowship at Cinco Ranch, ministered to fans on the weekend before the 500 race. On behalf of Kingdom Racing, the men trained for six weeks prior to the race in order to develop the skills needed for the mission. On the night before and during 500 race day, the men, led by Pastor David Ruzicka, shared Words of hope with hundreds of people around and in the Speedway.  

Creation Museum, Kentucky

July 29, 2009

Kingdom Racing’s Indy Lights driver Brandon Wagner showcased his car at the museum in northern Kentucky. Museum guests had the opportunity to see the race car and transporter, meet Brandon, hear his testimony and experience the museum. In addition, Kentucky Speedway race tickets were offered at a discounted price. 1,400 visitors attended the museum that day.

Texas Air National Guard, Fort Worth

August 25, 2009

Kingdom Racing honoured the men and women of the Texas Air National Guard by exhibiting its No.44 Indianapolis 500 entrant Show car at the airbase. The exhibit was a part of a “Welcome Home” celebration for 180 soldiers of 2ND regiment of the 149th battalion that recently returned from deployment in Iraq. Seven airmen from this unit perished when their helicopter crashed in Iraq last year. Kingdom Racing team members met with servicemen, their families and conducted a question and answer session regarding racing. In addition, soldiers and family members were allowed to experience the excitement of sitting behind the wheel of the race car. Many souvenir photographs were taken and distributed to the families.

Northwest Bible Church, Dallas

August 26, 2009

Kingdom Racing’s Indy Car driver Davey Hamilton was the keynote speaker at the Northwest Bible Church’s annual motor show in Dallas. Hamilton shared his powerful testimony at the motor show as well as visited with fans for autographs and pictures. This men’s outreach event exhibited 175 classic cars and motorcycles. In addition, Kingdom Racing featured its No.44 Indianapolis 500 entrant Show car. There was a turnout of more than 700.
